No sound notifications in Firefox

Using mozilla firefox, I get absolutely zero sound notifications from distill. Even when I go to settings or edit an individual alert and play the sound nothing plays.

This is not an issue when running it on chrome

When I go to the link https://monitor.distill.io

and click on play next to a sound, it will play the sound fine, but at moz-extension:// it will not play any sounds. Any ideas? other extensions play sounds without issue.

this is a known bug in firefox. check the following thread for a workaround and feel free to continue the discussion there:

My Firefox browser updated to 130.0 today and distill.io no longer has a distinct sound when it detects a new notification. The sound just defaults to a basic sound and does not play any of the options within distill.io (Bell Strike, Asian Koel, Ding Dong or Buzzer). With this update, I can also no longer hit the “Play” button next to the audio option to hear the selection option - it doesn’t do anything. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?
