You have exhausted your monthly Tokens limit. They are reset at the beginning of every month. If you don’t want to wait, you can upgrade your account by choosing a plan from the billing page.
I also checked my general usage and this is what it showed:

At some point when I was working on a macro a little AI pop up showed up and asked if I wanted help building the macro. It ended up erroring out a bunch and not being useful. Are these tokens relating to the AI usage? Will it restrict other parts of my account? I’ve never used a single token before today and the AI helper is the only thing I can think of - but I can’t conceive of using 31m tokens to simply try to build a loop for 15 min that never ended up working.
@pinerisk Thanks for reaching out. The tokens shown in your usage are related to AI assistant feature and will not restrict the other features or regular usage of your Distill account.
AI token usage is in testing phase and currently available as part of our Flexi and Enterprise plans, and we have also recently enabled it for a limited number of users on other plans for testing. There are no official usage limits for this testing phase yet, as we are still actively developing and improving this feature.
So, you don’t need to worry about the token-limit notification affecting your regular monitors or other account features.
We would, however, appreciate your feedback about the AI Macro helper—particularly what didn’t work and where you encountered errors. This will help us improve the feature.
If you still need help creating the Macro, we’d be happy to assist. Please share the website URL and the navigation flow/steps required to reach the content you want to monitor, and we can review it and help you set up the Macro.
First of all - no one has customer service that’s actually responsive and awesome like this anymore. Thanks for responding so quickly and being so helpful! Yet another reason I like Distill.
Thanks for letting me know about the tokens. I won’t worry about them - it’s good to know that they’re being trialed and it won’t impact my normal monitoring.
I was actually able to get the monitor working - I used Claude and it redirected me from a macro to just change the actual page monitor itself to execute some quick JS - which worked perfectly.
In terms of what caused the macro AI assistant to error out here - I was trying to monitor text changes on a page with 120 different accordions. I needed each one expanded when the snapshot happens. My original approach was to have the macro iterate through the numbers for each accordion, expand them, and then grab a snapshot. I did an example or two, and then told the AI to either add the rest of the numbers, or ideally create a loop that goes until finished to hit them all since the only variable for each one was a sequential number. It “cleared” the examples, and then kept erroring out while trying to add to my macro. It just kept trying different routes and I let it run for a few minute but there were many errors and it never added any steps to the macro.

Before I have an AI assistant that actually does fancy macro development, I’d love a basic chatbot that’s trained on your knowledge base and forums, that can see my configurations and can help me find the best way to tackle difficult sites/monitors. Doesn’t need to do anything itself, just help me solve problems and tell me what to do.

Your suggestion for an AI assistant that understands our documentation and forums, reviews monitor configurations, and recommends the best setup is also valuable. We’re actively working on deeper AI integration, with several improvements and updates planned in the coming days.
