The desktop app suddenly stopped opening

Suddenly, the main page of distill did not open at all. This is a desktop app version for MAC. It only appears in the icon at the top of the monitor and in the dock. When I click the icon at the top of the monitor, the words “distill web monitor” are grayed out. I uninstalled it, installed it again, deleted the account and recreated it, but the situation remains the same.
When I click on the dock icon, it says “watchlist” and next to it is my login name, which I thought I deleted. It seems like the old login information is being grabbed, so deleting that information might improve the situation, but I don’t know where on the computer’s HDD that information is located. If there is anything I can do to improve it, please let me know.

this should help:

Thank you for your reply.
There were no folders or files named “distill” or anything similar in that folder. Does it usually exist?
Also, searching for “distill” in the HDD yields no results.
Please continue if you have any further advice.

Hello @harukouhe

The app cache is stored in the folder ~/Library/Application\ Support/Distill\ Web\ Monitor for Mac users.

You can check if the folder exists by running the command ls ~/Library/Application\ Support/Distill\ Web\ Monitor. If it exists the terminal will log the files inside the path.

To remove it, you can run the command rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Distill\ Web\ Monitor in a terminal and then restart the app.

When the app is installed this folder is always created in this path as default for MacOS.

Do confirm if you are able to clear the app data using the above commands.

Thank You,
Jayakrishnan

Sorry for the delay in checking your message and replying.
Currently, I’m getting another error and can’t start the app, but I’ll post that in another thread.
