@distuser 403 error usually indicates an unauthorized request. can you share a screenshot of the error message?

I’ve tried reset edge settings and reinstall extension but still does’t work. It has been running flawlessly years.
same pc, chrome works ok. but I want use this extension separately.

thanks for the screenshots. the error in console is related to sentry which is used for error reporting. it is benign and can be ignored. an error could have been encountered when initializing service in the background.
can you perform the following steps and let me know what you see?
- go to
edge://extensions/?id=hldhhgncaohjmpcjjhggekonocabhceg - enable
developer modeif it is not enabled - click
background.htmlas shown in the following screenshot.

the error here shows that the extension is not able to initialize the sqlite database. sqlite uses opfs in the browser. since chrome on the same pc works and edge on my pc works, i suspect that this problem is specific to this edge profile.
can you create a new edge profile on the same pc and install the extension there? let me know what you observe.
I’ve tried private mode, clear data and cookies, still not working.
but after updating edge to Version 140.0.3485.54 , problem solved
it probably is the bug of Edge 139.0.3405.125. navigator.storage.getDirectory() stays pending forever.
now the question is
- originally, I installed chrome distill extension in edge, before I uninstall distill and reset edge, I zipped the folder inlikjemeeknofckkjolnjbpehgadgge as backup.
- now I installed the edge version distill and try to restore my settings . I copy and overwrite all files from the zip to hldhhgncaohjmpcjjhggekonocabhceg, but doesn’t work.
- is it possible to restore it? Thank you

it is unlikely that it will work. can you installing the chrome version and then replacing the folder? i am not sure if it will work either.
note that you can export monitors as json and import them later. check out https://distill.io/docs/web-monitor/how-to-export-and-import-monitors/
