Sorry to hear about the issue you are facing.
Are you referring to the popup notifications here?
If that’s the case, for notifications to show up, chrome should have permissions to display notifications.
This can be enabled by allowing notifications for “Chrome” in “Notifications & Focus” section in your device’s “System Preferences”.
