Pages change but distill stopped reporting it

I’m using Distill to monitor schedule updates on a website that posts the schedule in pieces throughout Sunday. I’ve been using it for this purpose for months, but last weekend it stopped working.

The pages update, but the version of the page that distill is using only shows the old page still for some reason.

As in if I go to the page myself I can see the changes, but if I click on the saved distill link it shows the page pre-change still, so distill doesn’t trigger.

Any ideas? Did the website implement measures to prevent distill from working properly?

@covertpetersen Here are a few things you can check first:

  1. Verify the selected element: Edit your monitor and make sure it’s still targeting the correct content. If the website layout has changed recently, your selection might need to be updated.

  2. Check the URL: Ensure the monitor is still pointing to the exact page. Even small URL changes can affect monitoring.

  3. Watch for pop-ups or cookie banners: If the site has added any overlays or consent pop-ups, they might block Distill from loading the new content.

  4. Check the check logs for any errors: You can view the monitor’s check history to see if any errors are being logged. You can find the related information to further troubleshoot in the link below:

If it’s still not working after that, could you share:

  • The URL you’re monitoring

  • Whether it’s a cloud or local monitor

  • A screenshot showing what Distill sees vs. what you see in your browser

That will help us troubleshoot further.
