I’m a brand new trial user of the service and I could use a little help getting my first monitor set up and working. I also need to make sure I’m accomplishing this task via the cheapest method possible (need to keep costs low, or non-existent, so that I can justify continuing to use the service)
I’d like to monitor the web page Limited - Steel Flame for any new products that get posted and I’m trying to figure out the most efficient way of doing it. I’d also like to be notified via either text message or push alert on my phone when new products do get posted. I leave my Mac desktop computer running 24/7 and I don’t mind leaving a dedicated desktop app open and running to handle the monitor locally. I need to figure out how to acomplish all of this without breaking the bank.
Any suggestions or guidance here would be sincerely appreciated! Thank you so much!
the desktop app + ios/android app to get push notifications on the phone is a great combination. 100 push notifications are available for free which can be enough for simple use cases.
I have created my first monitor, but without really not the best way to go about it, I ended up just having it check the entire website for any changes. Maybe there is a more focused/targeted detection method I should use to have it check specific areas only for changes, so I don’t get a bunch of false alerts?
The new product releases I am checking for get bought up very quickly once they are announced. I’d like the monitor to check for changes every 30 seconds or so. Is that free to do using the desktop app? Do I get notified just once when changes are detected?
