Monitoring stubhub.com using a macro

Distill is pretty simple but I am struggling when “monitoring parts of a page”

https://www.stubhub.com/new-york-knicks-new-york-tickets-3-27-2023/event/150337966/

Hi,

Can you explain in detail, the issue you face in “monitoring parts of page”. Also, can you provide details like:

  1. The URL on which you are trying to monitor content.
  2. The app used: Web app , extension or desktop app ?
  3. The exact content which you are trying to monitor on the page.

Thanks.

You can use a macro to click on the “Skip” button everytime automatically.

  1. Save the following code into a file named “stubhub.json”.
{"macros":[{"meta":{"url":"https://www.stubhub.com/new-york-knicks-new-york-tickets-3-27-2023/event/150337966/"},"name":"stubhub","spec":{},"steps":[["wait_doc",{"frame":0}],["click",["selector",{"meta":{},"type":"css","value":"[class*='kslu'] div [shape='pill']"}],{"x":62.98046875,"y":8.75},{"frame":0}]],"version":2}]}

You can then import the macro file and use it in monitors as shown in the below video.

Thanks for the help I really appreciate it. I still can’t get it to work. Are you available for a paid Zoom consultation?

No matter what I try Distill still says-
“Preview will be available soon after this task is run”. It never runs

The preview is not available yet because the task hasn’t been run successfully even once. This might be due to the error in macro.

Since you have to click on “Skip” before selecting elements, macro for clicking on skip should run properly for your selection to work. If you haven’t setup Macro or if there is an error in the setup macro, every-time you run a check, you would end up with an error.

I believe a representative from Distill is already in touch with you. He will be able to guide you in resolving the issues and setting up the macro.

HI @exclusiveeventsnj,

Thank you for posting on our forum.
Our team is actively looking into one of the issues associated with the macro setup for stubhub.
We’ll reach out to you as soon as we have the resolution (later this week).

Best regards,
Surya

I was on a zoom call with a tech support person. Very nice guy. No mention of a macro was made. Only by you.

Surya,

Still having this issue :frowning:

Can you share the exact URL and the content that you would like to monitor? It is not clear what you have discussed previously on the call.

Thanks for the help last year. I still can’t get past the “How many tickets” pop us at the beginning of every event. Can you try creating another macro for me? I tried following the videos to no avail, Thanks.
