Distill notifications received during MacBook sleep mode (Local Monitor only): how is this possible?

Hello,

Last night I received two Distill notifications corresponding to changes detected on a web page: one at 12:27 AM and another at 1:29 AM, while my MacBook was in sleep mode and I am not using Distill Cloud Monitor. My Distill extension is installed on Chrome and all my monitors are supposed to be configured in local mode.

I do not understand how the detection could happen while my computer was asleep, nor how these notifications could be sent with no activity on the machine. Can Distill wake up the Mac or perform checks during sleep mode?

mac can occasionally wake up to perform maintenance or run background apps. see Macbook Pro Insomnia - Manuel Bernhardt. you can tweak sleep settings to keep it fully inactive while sleeping or let it wake up from time to time.
