When trying to sign in on the google app, it will not accept my usual password. Are the web based and google app two separate programs?

Hello Larry, the Android app and the web are powered by the same service. The same account is usable in both. Can you double check the login credentials and try logging in again? Let me know if you are not able to login into the Android app.
