I would like to know if its possible that distill checks the new added text ONLY to conditions which I set as “added text” & “does not contain”.
As you see on the first screenshot I made, the first alert which was not triggered was also in the conditions I set, so it was correct that this one has not been triggered. But the next three (02:13 pm and 02:15 pm) were triggered, even tough I set these conditions too (see the second screenshot).
How is it possible, that distill compares the new added text ONLY with my conditions I set?
You can click on the bell icon corresponding to the changes at 2:13 pm. You will notice that Added Texts were the texts highlighted in green - Winnie, Pooh Adventure 2000, Winnie, Pooh Adventure. Since the whole phrase in your condition does not match with the texts in added text, alerts will trigger.
If you want to match the whole phrase, you can use “Text does not contain” instead of “Added Text…”
one of the reasons for the phrase in the condition not matching the text could be that the text can contain other whitespace characters. one of the common ones is a new line character (\n).
can you share the monitor’s id where the text was not found? i can check it out and let you know.
btw what kind of changes do you need to get alerted for?
Actually, I would only need a simple solution: Distill should only compare the text on the advertisements with the conditions I set. As the texts which I set an alert for are always the same, (they repeat itself after 1 or 2 months, but there are also completely new Ads coming in and these I would like to track) the best would be if Distill could compare a specific phrase, which I set in the conditions or compare the whole text to the new incoming advertisement is also okay.

can you cross check these with the phrases in the conditions to make sure that the text with linebreaks aren’t included in conditions?
I also tried that first, to put the whole text on the Ad. But it didnt worked. Then I tried to put in the conditions only phrases (which was better but still triggered a lot of false alerts): with phrases I mean I took for my condition the text which is readable on the searching page of the advertisement on that website - https://www.tutti.ch/de/q/suche/Ak6dnYW1lYm95wJTAwMDA?sorting=newest&page=1&query=gameboy
But I think distill compares first the incoming text to the previous text the Ad before and then it compares the “net added text” to the phrases in my condition. If then one word is similar, it triggers false alerts.
How can I solve that distill only compares the incoming text with my conditions, without a comparsion with the previous text? Is that possible?
net added text is used only when it is selected in the condition.
when using text, only the latest text will be used. from what i can see, when long phrases are being used in conditions they do not match because of newlines in the monitored text. can you try to shorten the phrases in the conditions?
