Hi I have a website I’d like to monitor but it has a OTP after the initial login page. The difficult part if obviously this code goes to my email. Does Distill keep a webpage active and refresh it and therefore this is not an issue or is there something I’m missing here. Thank you
@lohash For websites that use OTP/MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) during login, standard cloud monitoring is generally not suitable because Distill’s cloud servers cannot complete the OTP verification during each monitor check.
If the website maintains the login session after you’ve entered the OTP, you can consider using a Dedicated Cloud Device. A Dedicated Cloud Device maintains its own browser session, allowing it to continue monitoring as long as the session remains valid.
You can learn more about Dedicated Cloud Devices here:
https://distill.io/docs/web-monitor/dedicated-cloud-devices/
Alternatively, you can use local monitoring with the Distill Browser Extension or Desktop App. Local monitoring uses your browser’s existing logged-in session, so it’s generally the preferred option for websites that require OTP/MFA.
Please note that with local monitoring your browser/computer must remain ON.
