Monitoring availability at Disney World when calendar is not visible

I am trying to track this website: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/star-wars-galactic-starcruiser/planning/#availabilityCalendar

I am using the chrome extension.

The above website has a calendar which shows availability. When there is no availability the calendar does not show up. So as there is no availability the calendar is not showing so I am not able to select that element.

Is there a way to select an area of a website?

Thanks

Hello @emmat, welcome to the community forum and sharing your use case.

When the desired element (calendar in this case) is not present in the page, one of the approaches is to monitor a larger part of the page that is going to contain the calendar. Another thing to note is that this page also displays following message:

As of May 26, 2023 at 4:30pm ET, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is unavailable for new bookings.

However, availability may still be subject to change and a very limited number of rooms could become available for new bookings from time to time. Please continue to check the website for any updates to availability.

and title:

Start Planning Your Voyage Aboard Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser

One can potentially monitor the page’s title and that message. Whenever the calendar is expected to appear, the message should either change or disappear.

Does this strategy make sense?
