# Is there a way to set a monthly cap on spending?

We just signed up. We are using the flexi plan, can we set an upper limit on spending to avoid unexpected charges?

@rob2 there is no automatic cap on the usage. a usage alert email is sent as soon as the account’s usage hits exceeds the base resources that are listed on the pricing page.
