# Having to reload Distill extension in Chrome daily

Hi all- Over the past couple weeks I have noticed that the Google Chrome extension of your product crashes on a daily basis. There is no error message or anything, I notice that the extension icon is missing and when I open the extension it promps me to reload it in order to get it working again. So I don’t get any notification during the time it randomly crashes. Are you aware of this issue and is there any fixes? Thanks.

there has been occasional reports in the past like [Monitoring in background - possible memory leak](https://forums.distill.io/t/monitoring-in-background-possible-memory-leak/1567). are the monitors set to be checked in background using the extension?
